Teaching Trip to Africa

Over 100 students attended my condensed, two-day course on Christian Unity. These students came not only from Churches of Christ but from various church backgrounds. Several of them said to me that this school offered better instruction than other Bible schools available in that part of Uganda.
I had to use an interpreter in Uganda, not knowing the local languages. In fact we had several language groups among the students and another man was interpreting in the middle of the classroom for a language group gathered around him. Another interpreter signed for the deaf.
The last half of the week, Rolland McLean taught another short course.
This older man was a keen student.
Students take a break between classes. They said the course on unity had opened their eyes to things they had not known the Bible taught. With the school so highly respected and with so much hunger to learn, the school needs to expand its facilities. It plans to purchase an abandoned elementary school campus adjoining the Institute's present location. This will provide for dormitories for students, among other things. **Click here for information on how to help.
