Monday morning it was time to begin my first course. The classroom was pretty well filled up with the 40 who attended this class on Christian unity. |
|
Singing on the front row during the class devo were Yoramu
Kamoto and Bester Samson, two of my old-time fellow workers.

The students were a wide age range but all shared an eagerness to learn and were right with me as I taught. |

We had three sessions in the mornings and two in the
afternoons with short rest breaks and a longer break for lunch. The course
outlines had been translated from English by a mission staffer. But I
spent long hours in the evenings checking the translation so the next
stage of the outline could be typed into computer.

After typing, the computer documents had to be printed out. The mission duplicating machine was in abysmal shape and would not work, so the multiple copies had to be run on three different computer printers, all working on different parts of the outline (very wearing on the printers and very difficult to coordinate). Sometimes we had to work between class sessions just to get the next installment collated and ready for the students. **A great need at the mission is a new copy-printer. Click here for details. |
