*** Romans and Galatians

A verse-by-verse study of these two great letters of the Apostle Paul. Romans is the most important of the New Testament letters. It is Paul's explanation of the gospel. One must understand it to understand the gospel well. We receive joy and peace as we see how God forgives us and accepts us freely because of Christ's blood, not because of our own perfection in doing right. Romans shows us how the Holy Spirit helps us conquer sin and transforms our lives. It contains a very interesting section on God's purposes for Israel as a nation, and has some of the best practical teaching in the New Testament on Christian unity and Christian living in a real world. Galatians is in many ways parallel to Romans and has a vital message for those prone to legalism.
