Romans
This course is a verse-by-verse study of Paul’s Letter to the Romans with emphasis on understanding his message within its historical and biblical context. Students will explore themes including sin and grace, justification by faith, the righteousness of God, life in the Spirit, Christian unity, suffering, obedience, and the faithfulness of God to both Jews and Gentiles. Attention will also be given to the flow of Paul’s argument, the practical implications of the gospel for everyday Christian living, and the mission of the church. While Romans contains some of the deepest theological discussions in the New Testament, this course approaches the letter in a clear and accessible way, helping students understand Romans as both a pastoral and missionary letter that calls believers to faithful, transformed lives in Christ.
